As the primary investment area within Goldman Sachs, we provide investment and advisory services for pension plans, sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies, endowments, foundations, financial advisors and individuals.

External Investing Group (XIG). XIG has over 400 professionals across 13 offices around the world, and provides investment manager diligence on non-affiliated strategies, portfolio construction, risk management, and liquidity solutions to investors, drawing on Goldman Sachs' market insights and risk management expertise.

The XIG Public Strategies Platform Management team works alongside the Public Markets Investment and Client Portfolio Solutions teams to drive solutions for 75% to 90% of client asset allocation schemas. The Public Strategies platform is comprised of over 1,250 investment strategies globally in traditional asset classes across equities, fixed income, credit, and commodities. The Platform Management team is responsible for manager onboarding and contract negotiations as well as managing liquidity and ongoing activities for XIG funds and the open architecture platform globally.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS



  • Serve as a key point of contact and provide support to senior team members in the onboarding of external managers and strategies, with a focus on the XIG Public Strategies fund complex and the institutional client platform (Multi Asset Solutions)
  • Take ownership of critical workflows for XIG sub-advised funds, including active management and coordination of capital activity and overdraft management for the daily liquidity funds
  • Act as the primary liaison for regulatory and board reporting requests related to the XIG 1940 Act fund population, engaging directly with external asset managers and third-party vendors, such as fund administrators
  • Lead the error management process for institutional client channels, ensuring timely resolution and communication
  • Participate in Public Strategies strategic initiatives and cross-functional projects, collaborating with Engineering (Technology and Strats) teams to enhance platform capabilities and drive operational efficiency



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS



  • 2 to 4 years of relevant industry experience; preferably in asset management
  • Solid understanding of public markets investment structures, strategies, and instruments
  • Strong communication, analytical, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Proven project planning, organization, and time management skills. The candidate should be able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
  • High level of proficiency with MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Experience with transformational engineering projects is a plus
  • Detail-oriented
