What you will enjoy doing*
- In this role you will implement advanced control strategies using model predictive control, fuzzy logic control, and real-time optimization software on air separation, carbon dioxide, or hydrogen plants
- Identify and execute cost reduction opportunities in collaboration with productivity center specialists
- Ensure applications perform at peak efficiency by interfacing with Global Operations and Operations Engineering support teams
- Provide guidance for optimal plant configurations using model-based optimization tools
- Champion KPIs that measure the overall health of the installed base of APC applications
- Focus on reducing variable costs with a good understanding of plant operating philosophy
What makes you great
- This role requires Chemical/Biochemical Engineering degree plus 8+ years of experience demonstrating knowledge of industrial model-based advanced (centralized multivariable) process control & optimization is required
- Similar engineering areas like Automation, Electronic Engineering, Process control will be considered
- Experience with MPC controller development or commercial model predictive control software like Aspen DMC3, Honeywell Profit Suite (RMPCT),
Yokogawa PACE, Capstone MACS is required - Experience with mathematical modeling and optimization software (Matlab, Unisim, Aspen RTO, GAMS, Hysys, AspenPlus etc.) is preferred
- Domestic and international travel up to 25% required. Travel is in blocks of 2-3 weeks spread over the year.
- Ability to work on multiple projects at a time
