Summary

Balfour Beatty is looking for a Quality Control Manager to join our team with a 24 month schedule at the US Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD to replace an existing utility bridge and associated utility lines spanning over College Creek off the Severn River. +600' long utility bridge sitting on steel piles capped with concrete foundations with prestressed concrete girders. The QC Manager will join the onsite QC team to help manage the contractor's QC Program with the planning and daily execution of the project. Responsible for maintaining certain QC aspects of the project as assigned by the QC Program Manager, by managing the daily QC tasks of material/equipment delivery and installation.

Essential Functions

The shared time between office and field management operations may include:



  • Safety Meetings
  • Quality Control reports
  • Quality Control Field inspections
  • Writing processes and procedures
  • Quality Control Audits
  • Coordinating inspections
  • Compute punch list
  • Final inspections and project turnover



Minimum Requirements



  • Minimum of 15 years combined experience in the following positions: Project Superintendent, QC Manager, Project Manager, Project Engineer or Construction Manager on similar size and type construction Contracts which included the major trades that are part of this Contract.
  • at least 6 years experience as a QC Manager.
  • must be familiar with the requirements of EM 385-1-1 and have experience in the areas of hazard identification, safety compliance, and sustainability.
  • The QC Manager must be capable of reading, writing, and conversing fluently in the English language.

  • This position requires eligibility to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security credential. Due to federal contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.

  • Familiar with Procore and eCMS



Pay Rate: $110,000-130,000.*

*This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. No amount of pay is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable. The amount and availability of any bonus, incentive, or any other form of compensation that are allocable to a particular employee remains in the Company's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified at the Company's sole discretion, consistent with the law and any applicable plan documents.
