Description
We are seeking a visionary and results-driven Director of Resource Utilization who will lead efforts to ensure generation, demand response, storage, and other capacity resources are effectively utilized across the ISO/RTO footprint. This role will oversee how resources are scheduled, dispatched, accredited, and evaluated to align with market rules, operational needs, and reliability standards. Through strong strategic leadership, technical oversight, and collaboration across teams, the Director will work to optimize resource performance while supporting the long-term reliability and efficiency of the power system. The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $196,000-$221,000 USD annually. Base salary range for this position is included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, and qualifications/experience. Position is also eligible for an annual bonus if individual performance and company objectives are met. Bachelors of Economics (required)
Bachelors of Energy Systems (required) Bachelors of Engineering (required) Experience
Experience managing technical teams and complex analytical programs. (required)
Experience in resource adequacy, planning, operations, or market functions within an ISO/RTO or utility. (required) Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% as needed to support stakeholder engagement and organizational priorities. (required) Knowledge of emerging technologies, including storage, hybrid resources, and distributed energy resources. (required) Skilled at working with regulatory bodies, stakeholders, and cross-functional technical teams.
