Description
We are seeking a visionary and results-driven Director Competitive Transmission Administration and Metrics who will provide strategic leadership for the processes that bring new transmission infrastructure from planning to reality across the MISO footprint. This role will oversee the team responsible for executing MISO's Competitive Transmission process, guiding the development of project cost estimates, qualifying transmission developers, and leading the evaluation of proposals for facilities approved through the MISO Transmission Expansion Plan (MTEP). The Director will ensure a rigorous, transparent, and compliant competitive process while driving continuous improvement in planning tools, analytics, and reporting. By overseeing proposal development and evaluations, advancing cost-estimating practices used in the annual MTEP cycle, and managing project performance monitoring and compliance reviews, this leader will play a critical role in enabling timely, cost-effective transmission development. In close partnership with other planning functions, the Director will ensure coordination across the organization to support reliable, efficient, and forward-looking grid expansion. The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $196,000-$221,000 USD annually. Base salary range for this position is included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, and qualifications/experience. Position is also eligible for an annual bonus if individual performance and company objectives are met. Bachelors of Economics (required)
Bachelors of Engineering (required) Masters (preferred) Experience
Related technical experience within an ISO/RTO or utility. (required)
