Responsible for Logix Federal Credit Union's strategy, architecture, design and operations for the enterprise network, voice and telecom, technical support, field support, and core banking. In-depth knowledge of cloud, computer, storage, operating systems, application connectivity, workstation and mobile devices, and communications technology. Directs the Network Management team, Technical Support team, and Field Support team to architect, design, deploy, and operate Logix systems and to provide the best possible service for LFCU employees and members. Directs the Credit Union's core banking and database management systems.



Responsibilities

    Lead the vision, strategy and operations of next generation enterprise networking technologies to enable on premise and cloud operations, disaster recovery/business continuity planning and testing, and all IT infrastructure and support services.
  • Directs database administration, including analysis and implementation of solutions for IT initiatives and vendor-provided systems.
  • Directs core banking operations including application maintenance, support, batch processing, interfaces with 3rd parties, and disaster recovery efforts.
  • Ensures compliance with NCUA and other applicable rules and regulations in the performance of duties by assigned personnel.
  • Ensure that the network architecture and function provide the capabilities needed to meet identified business needs; makes recommendations regarding continuous improvement in networking environment, including hosting, cloud, telecommunications, and data center technologies.
  • Directs the engineering and operational support of enterprise network, voice, and telecom, and other assigned systems, and I.T. field support with the primary goals of speed, reliability, and data security.
  • Responsible for strategic planning, technology advancements, capacity management, availability, security, interoperability and operational lifecycle implementation; understands macro and micro market trends and competitive threats to drive network strategies.
  • Develops operational service metrics from an internal customer perspective, and with actionable plans to improve operational efficiency, enhance service quality.
  • Provides network design, security analysis/design, implementation and documented ongoing testing; ensure up-to-date system and network documentation, policies, procedures, and inventories.
  • Partners on all aspects of the technology lifecycle including requirements, product and services management, planning, procurement, installation, automation, support and retirement.
  • Ensures key technology management processes are effectively managed including change management, planning, governance and architecture.
  • Manages the competing demands for maintenance, projects, innovation, and optimization; work to align resources with project needs and operational needs.
  • Accountability for maintaining costing, usage metering, and uptime/availability of network services.
  • Direct and respond to infrastructure and application outages, including technical troubleshooting and incident management.
  • Implements policies and procedures to provide the highest level of quality, reliability, and security for LFCU workstations, servers, mobile devices and network electronics.
  • Manages the development of appropriate documentation of systems and technology supported by the Network Management and Technical Support teams.
  • Manages Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for all LFCU computers and devices, printers/copiers, applications, servers and networks and other technical issues.
  • For general management function, analyzes and implements process improvements for accurate, timely, and efficient operations.
  • Develops annual objectives and budgets and leads the department to accomplish approved objectives within the approved budgets.
  • Recruits, leads, and develops staff to fulfill the department's objectives.
  • Holds staff meetings with assigned personnel to discuss areas needing improvement, member/staff survey results and corrective action, changes in policies and procedures, new developments or services and to present general information.
  • Resolves employee relations issues, coordinates and oversees cross-training, conducts performance evaluations periodically, motivate and encourage "team effort" of assigned personnel. Ensures that assigned staff are properly trained and follow guidelines.
  • Fosters an atmosphere of cooperation and collaboration among department staff and with other departments.
  • Manages relationships with vendors to ensure maximum benefit for the credit union, its members and to achieve departmental goals.
  • Performs Business Resumption planning for assigned departments and validates the adequacy of the plans.


Qualifications

Education
  • Minimum

    4 Year / Bachelors Degree

    Must have a Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology or Management.

    Preferred

    Graduate Degree

    Masters' Degree in Business or Technology and experience in a financial institution preferred.

Experience
  • 7 or more years of directly related technical managerial experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Ability
  • Must have a proven track record successfully managing network infrastructure and enterprise applications.

  • Must have a proficiency with VMware, Palo Alto Networks, Cisco, VoIP technology, Citrix, and MS Office products such as Windows, SQL, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
