This role is equal parts creative and operational: you will shape and maintain the beverage identity of each bar while ensuring day-to-day service runs smoothly, inventory is managed with precision, and the team is held to the highest standards of hospitality and professionalism. Cocktail Program Oversight
- Develop, maintain, and evolve cocktail menus for ATG, Henry's, and Public Service, ensuring each program reflects the distinct concept and clientele of each venue.
- Standardize recipes, specs, and garnish execution across all three bars to ensure consistency regardless of who is behind the bar.
- Conduct regular menu reviews and propose seasonal updates based on ingredient availability, trends, and cost considerations.
- Train bar staff on all menu items, including proper technique, flavor profiles, and guest-facing descriptions.
- Collaborate with the culinary team and management on food and beverage pairings and special programming.
- Stay current on industry trends in craft cocktails, spirits, beer, and wine to keep our programs competitive and innovative.
Inventory Management & Purchasing
- Conduct precise, regular inventory counts across all three bars, including liquor, beer, wine, non-alcoholic beverages, and bar supplies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and track variance to identify waste, over-pouring, or discrepancies.
- Assist with or independently manage the submission of liquor, beer, and wine orders, ensuring par levels are maintained and product is ordered in a timely manner.
- Build and maintain relationships with distributor reps; communicate product needs, explore new offerings, and negotiate where appropriate.
- Receive and verify deliveries, ensuring accuracy of orders and proper rotation of stock.
Team Leadership & Standards
- Set the standard for professionalism, hospitality, and craft - lead by example in every shift.
- Mentor and coach bartenders and barbacks, providing real-time feedback and supporting their growth.
- Assist management with onboarding and training new bar team members.
- Support scheduling needs and help ensure adequate staffing across all three venues.
- Address performance issues or guest concerns in the moment, escalating to management when appropriate.
- Foster a positive, team-first culture that values accountability, communication, and excellence.
Bar Operations & Cleanliness
- Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked bar stations at all times across all three venues.
- Enforce opening and closing sidework checklists and hold the team accountable to their completion.
- Ensure all equipment is properly cleaned, maintained, and reported for repair as needed.
- Uphold all health, safety, and alcohol service regulations, including responsible service of alcohol (RSA) practices.
- Ensure proper labeling, dating, and storage of all perishable bar items.
Guest Experience
- Deliver an exceptional guest experience through warm, knowledgeable, and attentive service.
- Engage guests confidently about cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer - making thoughtful recommendations based on their preferences.
- Handle guest complaints and special requests with professionalism and a solutions-oriented mindset.
- Contribute to an atmosphere that is welcoming, energetic, and consistent with the brand of each venue.
What is required?
- Minimum 3-5 years of bartending experience in a high-volume, craft-focused bar environment.
