Position Highlights

Temporary position for an events assistant for the UAHS events team. The positions will assist the events coordinator with day-to-day event logistics, ensuring correspondence is up to date, and processing reservations and invoices. As well as being the point of contact for events.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assisting with event reservation approvals and cancellations. Updating any event modifications for customers.
  • Event Invoicing, generating invoices, submitting invoices for payment via Internal Billing.
  • Be the point of contact for day of events. Assisting customers with any day of event needs ensuring a successful event. Staff information desk for guests in the Health Sciences Innovation Building.
  • Handle event inquires and emails, including finding appropriate rooms for events. Schedule and lead event walkthroughs with customers.
  • Assist event coordinator senior and director with daily projects.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent communication skills and time management working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft office suite.
  • Knowledge of Astra Scheduling.
  • Ability to follow University event policies, procedures, and operational requirements.
  • Experience coordinating and supporting event staging.
  • Knowledge of UAccess Financial systems.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
