As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver in Harrisonburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at an education location, you will drive and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will check doors and gates, support access control and badge procedures, document observations, and communicate clearly with students, staff, and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, and visitors by following site-specific procedures and security-related protocols, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, parking lots, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including providing clear directions, contacting appropriate campus resources, and documenting actions taken.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Complete detailed reports of daily activity, patrol observations, and incident response, including accurate use of logs and required notification procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A guard card and/or security license is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
