General Responsibilities:

This position may be based out of any Terracon office located within the Gulf Coast Division (AL, GA, LA, MS, or TN).

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Senior Client Development professional responsible for driving business growth across Geotechnical, Environmental, and Construction Materials Testing services. The role focuses on strengthening existing client relationships while proactively cultivating new partnerships within the Gulf Coast Division. The successful candidate will identify and pursue strategic opportunities critical to Terracon's continued growth, while providing division-level leadership in client development. This includes guiding business strategy, leading client engagement efforts, facilitating strategic planning sessions, and tracking key marketing and performance metrics. This position is specifically tailored for a seasoned Client Development professional with a strong background in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (A/E/C) industry.

  • Develop business strategies and processes in collaboration with sector leaders and Client Development Managers.
  • Create and guide consistent messaging that showcases the value delivered to clients.
  • Develop and execute follow-up, review and maintenance of business plans to enhance coherence in the Division.
  • Play a crucial role in account development and CRM maintenance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on growth strategy, lead generation, advertising, and major pursuit strategies.
  • Identify and participate in sector focused trade shows and conferences.
  • Establish and foster strong relationships to ensure an excellent client experience for both internal and external clients.
  • Support technical staff in conducting business development.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Provides client development leadership within the Gulf Coast Division, including tracking/reporting key marketing information, facilitating strategy meetings, and managing key client relationships.
  • Manages a team that includes client development specialists and client development managers.
  • Collaborates with management to develop client development plans, budgets, and performance goals.
  • Develops competencies in business intelligence tools to assist managers in strategic decision-making.
  • Facilitates strategy meetings for both client and major project pursuits.
  • Oversees and reports client development results, including pursuits, proposals, key wins/losses, and industry activities.
  • Engages with department, office, and regional management, keeping them informed of activities and progress.
  • Works with corporate teams, including national accounts and marketing, to achieve company revenue growth goals.
  • Represents Terracon at professional, government, and technical events, and manages associated project-related risks.
  • Leads safety efforts for team and promotes continuous quality monitoring and improvement.
  • Regularly engage regional management and reports to SVP.

Major Pursuits Strategist - Strategic Planning and Execution:

  • Develop lead generation plans aligned with sector growth goals.
  • Coordinate with sector leaders on National Account efforts to identify trends and opportunities for major pursuits in all regions.
  • Lead and facilitate strategy meetings using the major project pursuit process and improve our pursuit process.
  • Set business objectives and key performance indicators in partnership with sector leaders.
  • Implement and monitor major pursuit strategies, training, and progress.
  • Track major pursuits and review updates with Gulf Coast Division pursuit leaders.
Requirements:

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related degree and 15 years' related experience. Or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 19 years related experience.

  • Must have A/E/C experience to be considered for this position.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.

Preferred Certification:

  • Master's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
  • Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM).
