Job Description




As a Security Officer Flex Foot Patrol in New Castle, DE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and respond to situations with professionalism and calm. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out assigned security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, behavioral escalations, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professional communication and timely notification to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior areas such as corridors, entrances, and common spaces as well as exterior building and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points, verify authorization as required, and assist with visitor management processes including directions, sign-in requirements, and reporting concerns according to site procedures.
  • Complete reports and activity logs, document incidents and unusual occurrences, and communicate relevant information during shift handoff to support continuity of security-related operations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
