The Pinterest Apprenticeship Program is an opportunity for professionals from non-tech backgrounds and those who may face barriers of entry into the industry to experience Engineering at Pinterest. Apprenticeships are up to one year long with the opportunity to be considered for conversion to a full-time Engineer. While programs can be up to one year in length, employment throughout the program is at will, and there is no guarantee on the specific length of the program. What you'll do: Work alongside other Pinterest Engineers and key partners on our Design, Research, and Product Management teams on a high-impact project Collaborate with an assigned mentor who will help you navigate the expectations of being an Engineer at Pinterest Leverage AI in your daily engineering workflow to accelerate delivery-brainstorming approaches, writing and refining code, and producing clear documentation Continually grow through various learning and development opportunities What we're looking for: Professionals from non-tech backgrounds including but not limited to: coding bootcamp grads, candidates who are self-taught, and those who do not hold a related degree or professional experience in Engineering roles Self-motivated and proactive professionals pursuing a career in the tech industry who are curious to learn what it's like to work and succeed as an Engineer at Pinterest 1+ years of experience working collaboratively and clearly communicating in a professional work environment preferred Apprentices are expected to work full-time during business hours. As such, students currently enrolled in a Bachelors, Masters, or PhD program are not eligible for this position Proficiency in at least one programming language Familiarity using AI as a learning and productivity tool, and as an iterative coding partner, to speed up engineering work while exercising strong judgment around accuracy, security, and when to ask for help In-Office Requirement Statement: We recognize that the ideal environment for work is situational and may differ across departments. Final salary is based on a number of factors including location, relevant prior experience, or particular skills and expertise.
