Logistics Specialist in Dulles, Virginia. The Logistics Specialist position is responsible for coordinating and directing the activities of Carter's delivery vehicle fleet in a manner that maximizes customer satisfaction, employee productivity, and reduces contract hauling to customers. Responsibilities include managing the delivery schedules, ensuring compliance with safety policies and procedures and DOT regulations. Seeking candidates with previous experience in transportation/logistics; College degree a plus.
Requirements for the Logistics Specialist position include:
Physical requirements must be met for the Logistics Specialist job, including regularly being required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. Employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
