THE ROLE
As a Senior Compensation Consultant, you will use your discretion and expertise to deliver advanced compensation analytics and strategic consultation that directly support MFS's business and talent goals. This person will take ownership of complex compensation projects and initiatives, transforming data, policies, and market trends into clear, actionable recommendations that empower leaders to make informed decisions. Collaboration is key in this role, as you'll work closely with Compensation leadership, HR, Finance, and other partners to ensure our compensation programs and practices remain effective, consistent, and fully aligned with MFS's Compensation Philosophy.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Owns and leads complex compensation programs, processes, or functional capabilities (e.g., market data, governance, annual planning, partnering standards), operating independently within established frameworks.
  • Applies deep compensation knowledge to evaluate issues, identify risks, and develop practical, value-added solutions aligned with MFS's Compensation Philosophy.
  • Leverages compensation analytics and external market data to assess competitiveness, internal equity, and program effectiveness.
  • Interprets data and trends to develop insights, scenarios, and recommendations that inform compensation decisions and planning.
  • Provides senior-level consultation to HR partners, Finance, and business stakeholders on compensation matters, including interpretation of guidelines and application of market data.
  • Ensures compensation programs and processes are executed with appropriate controls, documentation, and governance to support consistency, auditability, and risk management.
  • Continuously evaluates compensation processes, tools, and workflows to improve efficiency, quality, and scalability.
  • Leads mid-to-large compensation projects, managing scope, timelines, dependencies, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Works collaboratively across the Compensation team, sharing expertise and contributing to broader functional initiatives; may provide informal guidance to more junior team members.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor's degree in a related area.
  • 6-8+ years of experience in compensation, financial analysis or closely related analytical discipline
  • Strong analytical capability with experience using market data and analytics to inform recommendations and decisions.
  • Ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including building and maintaining complex models and analyses
  • Knowledge of compensation regulations, job evaluation, and external benchmarking practices.
  • Experience with compensation and HRIS tools (e.g., Workday, MarketPay).
  • Experience providing consultative / centerofexpertise support (influencing without direct authority).

Base Salary Range: $110,000.00 - $158,500.00 This position is eligible for competitive incentive bonus.

This range reflects our good-faith expectation forwhat we'll pay depending on the candidate's experience, training and education. In addition to the salary, we also offer significant and competitive incentive compensationbased on both individual and company performance. Other components of our Total Rewards Package include:

  • MFS contributes an amount equal to 15% of your base salary to your retirement account that is separate from the company -sponsored 401(k)

  • Education Assistance: MFS contributes $100 monthly up to $10,000 lifetime maximum directly to loan provider

  • Education Assistance: Tuition reimbursement up to $8,000 annually

  • Education Assistance: Access to discounted tutors and college coaches
