Responsibilities:

• Act as a safety leader by following all safety rules, supporting safety programs, and ensuring contractors and equipment meet safety expectations
• Identify customer needs, define project scope, and evaluate alternate solutions for technical, safety, and equipmentrelated issues.
• Prepare and assemble complete engineering project documentation, capital requests, drawings, scopes of work, and required approvals.
• Manage project schedules, costs, purchasing activities, vendor coordination, and communication to ensure equipment and materials are delivered on time and to specification.
• Assist maintenance departments in developing, evaluating, and editing preventative and predictive maintenance programs
• Create layouts and drawings using Solid Works / E Drawings.
• Lead or support equipment installation, checkout, startup, commissioning, and employee training.
• Request capital project funds using the CapEx database.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for equipment breakdowns or process capability issues when maintenance requires additional assistance.
• Participate in or lead Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives, including developing work instructions, evaluating new technologies, and improving preventative/predictive maintenance programs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred, willing to consider candidates with applicable experience
• 3+ years Project Engineering experience within a Manufacturing Environment (Packaging, or Plastics Manufacturing experience preferred).
• Design experience within SolidWorks & eDrawings.
• Experience with 3D printing is highly preferred.
• Strong familiarity with Lean Manufacturing verbiage, process, tools, etc.
• Exceptional analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
