Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Act as a safety leader by following all safety rules, supporting safety programs, and ensuring contractors and equipment meet safety expectations
- Identify customer needs, define project scope, and evaluate alternate solutions for technical, safety, and equipmentrelated issues.
- Prepare and assemble complete engineering project documentation, capital requests, drawings, scopes of work, and required approvals.
- Manage project schedules, costs, purchasing activities, vendor coordination, and communication to ensure equipment and materials are delivered on time and to specification.
- Assist maintenance departments in developing, evaluating, and editing preventative and predictive maintenance programs
- Create layouts and drawings using Solid Works / E Drawings.
- Lead or support equipment installation, checkout, startup, commissioning, and employee training.
- Request capital project funds using the CapEx database.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for equipment breakdowns or process capability issues when maintenance requires additional assistance.
- Participate in or lead Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives, including developing work instructions, evaluating new technologies, and improving preventative/predictive maintenance programs.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred, willing to consider candidates with applicable experience
- 3+ years Project Engineering experience within a Manufacturing Environment (Packaging, or Plastics Manufacturing experience preferred).
- Design experience within SolidWorks & eDrawings.
- Experience with 3D printing is highly preferred.
- Strong familiarity with Lean Manufacturing verbiage, process, tools, etc.
- Exceptional analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
