Position DescriptionENSCO Inc is a diverse engineering and technology company that provides engineering, science and advanced technology solutions that guarantee mission success, safety, and security to governments and private industries worldwide. The Mission Systems Group (MSG) is currently providing cybersecurity, engineering, and support staff for the Mission Delta 6 program office. ENSCO, Inc. is seeking a Jr. Computer Engineer to support our Space Force customer and existing workforce. Must be local to Colorado Springs, CO and work in office full time. Duties will include: Local Technical Support * Provide Tier I/II technical support for local users across multiple networks. * Troubleshoot hardware, software, operating system, and application issues. * Support desktops, laptops, peripherals, and collaboration tools. * Escalate complex or unresolved issues to senior technicians or specialized teams. Systems and Device Support * Assist with installation, configuration, and maintenance of workstations and IT equipment. * Perform system imaging, software installations, and routine updates. * Support operating environments such as Windows, and virtualization platforms. * Monitor system performance and assist in identifying infrastructure improvements. IT Asset Deployment and Lifecycle Management * Install, configure, and upgrade hardware and software. * Support system imaging, patch management, and configuration management processes. * Assist in the lifecycle management of IT assets, including procurement, deployment, maintenance, and retirement. Cybersecurity and Compliance * Follow established cybersecurity policies and procedures (e.g., password management, access controls, device compliance). * Assist in applying patches and updates to maintain system security. * Report potential security issues or incidents to appropriate teams. * Support compliance with organizational standards (e.g., STIGs, RMF processes as applicable). IT Service Operations * Monitor and respond to service desk tickets using IT service management tools. * Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and recurring issues. * Support routine maintenance activities, including patching and system updates. * Assist in basic system monitoring and reporting. User Support and Training * Provide end-user support and guidance on common IT issues. * Assist users with system access, account setup, and basic troubleshooting. * Contribute to knowledge base documentation and user guides. Team Collaboration and Development * Work closely with senior technicians and IT teams to resolve issues. * Participate in training and skill development activities. * Demonstrate willingness to learn enterprise systems and tools. Qualifications Required: * BS in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technologies and Data Processing, and 2 years of IT support experience (or relevant internships/technical training), or 10 Years directly related experience in lieu of a Bachelors degree. * Basic knowledge of: Windows operating systems Hardware troubleshooting Networking fundamentals * Strong customer service and communication skills. * Ability to follow procedures and work within structured environments. * Current 8140 IAM II/IAT Level II or higher certification, and Comptia A+ or equivalent. * Current U.S. DoW Secret security clearance, for which you must be a U.S. Citizen. Qualifications Desired: * DoW system sustainment experience * Experience in government or regulated environments (DoD, federal agencies, State Government, etc.). * Familiarity with device management tools.
