Overview
Participates in the determination of the client area's application systems requirements for new or modified application programs. Designs and specifies information systems solutions to address business needs and the methods for testing and installing them. Works under general supervision.

What You Will Do
- Works with client management to identify and specify complex business requirements and processes (e.g. diverse development platforms, software, hardware, technologies and tools etc.)
- Formulates logical statements of business requirements, develops/reviews technical specifications and serves as a liaison to program areas and IS technical staff.
- Researches and evaluates alternative solutions and recommends the most efficient and cost effective solution for the systems design considering existing systems, available technology, the capacity and limitations of equipment, operating time and form of desired results.
- Works with development, operations, technical support and other IT areas as appropriate throughout the development and installation processes.
- Designs a detailed systems testing plan to ensure an accurate and effective product, and performs initial unit/module testing of internally developed applications before Quality Assurance does more in-depth testing.
- Prepares charts, tables, and diagrams to assist in analyzing problems, utilizing, if necessary, various business and/or scientific mathematical techniques.
- Analyzes existing system logic difficulties and revises the logic and procedures involved as necessary.
- Reviews and follows up to successfully resolve issues identified by Help Desk and identifies trends.
- May give some direction and guidance to other Systems Analyst.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, a related discipline, or the equivalent Required
Work Experience: - Minimum of four years of solid diverse work experience in IT or in a systems analysis capacity, including some project leadership, project management, and/or supervisory experience Required
- Ability to conduct client area functional reviews and systems analysis utilizing structured methodologies.
- Well versed in Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including the evaluation of systems and technological alternatives Required
- Requires broad knowledge of the client area's functions and applications, and an in-depth knowledge of system and technology alternatives, excellent communication skills, strong judgment and the ability to work effectively with client and IT management and staff.
Pay Range
USD $93,400.00 - USD $116,800.00 /Yr.
