Position Overview

As a Medical Assistant in our Family Practice office, you'll be a vital part of the care team-supporting providers and guiding patients through each step of their visit. You'll balance hands-on clinical care with thoughtful administrative support, ensuring a smooth and compassionate patient experience.

Location: 950 Yale Avenue, Wallingford, CT 06492

Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week



  • Monday-Friday
  • 5 days x 8-hour shifts
  • Hours between 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM


What You'll Do

Clinical & Patient Care



  • Prepare patients for visits by collecting and documenting clinical information
  • Perform phlebotomy as needed
  • Provide care summaries and guidance on next steps or follow-up
  • Carry out standing orders in accordance with protocols
  • Support infection control, patient safety, OSHA, and CLIA regulations


Care Team & Office Support



  • Actively collaborate with providers, nurses, and leadership
  • Monitor task pools and follow up on orders, referrals, and worklists
  • Assist with temperature monitoring in coordination with Regional Nurse Managers
  • Ensure smooth office flow and excellent service delivery


Administrative & Documentation



  • Answer and triage patient phone calls using the EHR
  • Schedule tests, treatments, and follow-up visits
  • Document all patient interactions accurately and timely in the EHR
  • Assist patients with external referrals and disease management resources


What Makes You a Great Fit
Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program OR
  • Completed relevant MA training through a U.S. armed forces branch OR
  • 2+ years of healthcare aide or technician experience


Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified or Registered MA (AAMA, NHA, NCCT, or AMT)
  • CPR/BLS Certification
  • 1+ year of Medical Assistant experience
  • Experience with Epic EHR
  • Primary care experience
  • Intermediate computer proficiency

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 to $25.05 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
