Orano TN, a subsidiary of Orano, provides advanced and legacy reactor services for both the front and back end of the nuclear fuel cycle including packaging and transportation logistics services, to both commercial and federal clients.

Orano TN is seeking a Proposal Manager for the Columbia, MD, office to support the Nuclear Material Back End solutions business line but may from time-to-time support proposals for Transportation, Logistics, and Packages Product Line focusing on the Front-End of the fuel cycle.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Produce proposal outlines, compliance matrix, and instructions for creating a proposal that meets the customer requirements.
  • Solicit all necessary costing information from the necessary stakeholders involved - i.e.: Project Management, 3rd party companies, Engineering, QA, Legal, Finance, and other Orano divisions.
  • Coordinate and hold kick-off meetings, strategy and status meeting to ensure a government compliant proposal is developed.
  • Develop and manage a proposal schedule.
  • Develop win themes and the ability to articulate those themes on Capture Plan.
  • Complete a storyboard template for proposal sections.
  • Develop formal presentations for senior management review and approval in proposal process.
  • Interface with subject matter experts in coordinating proposal documents.
  • Consolidate responses from multiple authors/reviewers and ensure proposal message is clear throughout.
  • Perform desktop publishing in MS Word, and other tools (e.g., Adobe Acrobat, MS PowerPoint) to ensure proposal documents are properly formatted, compliant with solicitation requirements, easy to read, and visually appealing.

Please Note: The provided salary information is a guideline. Your offered salary is based upon experience, qualifications, geographic location, as well as market and business considerations.

Salary range annually: $145,000-$175,000






Requirements


All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for this opportunity. Candidates who exceed minimum qualifications may be considered for a higher-level position.

  • Nuclear background / experience preferred
  • BA/BS in related technical, contracts, or management field
  • 10+ years of experience in project management, technical writing, or similar role
  • 10+ years of experience designing and producing RFP responses for the commercial and US Government market, including designing, planning, and delivering content solutions that meet the needs of the client
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience leading proposal volumes and/or performing as a writer on proposals
  • Experience working within Microsoft SharePoint and Teams is desired.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word is desired
