Veterinary Medicine Library (
VML) Student Assistants serve as the first point of contact for library access and research-related support on the Centennial Biomedical Campus. Working alongside library staff, students provide high-quality customer service and assist with routine operations, including answering questions via phone, email, and chat; checking out materials; troubleshooting basic technology issues; scanning articles; shelving; and conducting basic research to respond to and refer reference questions. Students may open or close the library and perform other duties as assigned. |

Requires at least 10 hrs/week for Fall '26 & Spring '27. Must be available for at least two shifts: Mon-Fri 10am-6pm (flexible), Mon-Thurs 6pm-11pm, or Sat/Sun (flexible). |

Dependable and punctual. Experience providing excellent customer service. Basic desktop computer skills. Strong interpersonal, communication, and problemsolving skills, with the ability to understand the needs of diverse users, including faculty, staff, students, hospital clients, and the public. Flexibility and willingness to learn new tasks. Ability to exercise sound judgment, manage time effectively, and work with minimal supervision. Knowledge of library services is helpful but not required. Moderate lifting (up to 30 lbs) may be necessary. |
