Responsibilities

Senior Manager, Corporate Maintenance & Engineering

Your seat at the table:

The Senior Manager, Corporate Maintenance & Engineering serves as a strategic leader responsible for elevating asset capacity and reliability across 16 North American manufacturing sites. This role provides leadership and technical direction to the field maintenance organization, ensuring the effective deployment of preventive and corrective maintenance strategies. The Senior Manager works directly with plant maintenance leaders to drive performance improvement, strengthen organizational capability, and lead the consistent execution of the work management process. Through strong influence, coaching, and cross-functional partnership, this role champions maintenance excellence and delivers measurable improvements in key performance metrics.

Responsibilities:

  • Contributes to a safe work environment by modeling safe behaviors and maintaining strict adherence to plant safety policies and procedures
  • Own the maintenance management system, ensuring accurate master data, work orders, and spare parts programs
  • Lead and continuously improve the site maintenance strategy across manufacturing to improve overall unplanned downtime performance
  • Lead the identification, plan, execute, and documentation of preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure asset reliability and compliance
  • Develop, implement, and optimize site maintenance procedures and standards to support safe and consistent operations
  • Oversee site shutdown planning and execution to minimize downtime and protect critical manufacturing schedules
  • Facilitate the proper management of maintenance budgets, and drive cost-effective solutions without compromising quality or safety
  • Establish, monitor, and improve key performance indicators for key leading maintenance metrics
  • Partner with engineering and external vendors to implement best practices and strengthen service strategies

Qualifications

What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or related field, plus 9 years of relevant industry experience; or 13 years of equivalent industry experience in lieu of a degree
  • Experience as a reliability maintenance engineer, field/plant experience, and/or operational experience
  • Proven experience in maintenance leadership within a regulated food manufacturing environment, prefer GMP short shelf-life food industry
  • Experience with fixed and rotating equipment, Maintenance Connection CMMS preferred
  • Demonstrated people management experience, including coaching, performance management, and team development
  • Track record of strong execution and results improvement
  • Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations, including current Good Manufacturing Practice requirements
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and resolve complex operational issues in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams including quality, health and safety, and manufacturing operations
  • Proficiency with computerized maintenance management systems, building management systems, and standard office software tools
  • Demonstrated success partnering with external vendors and engineering teams to implement maintenance best practices
