Summary
Performs a variety of research and research administration activities in direct support of the Department's research faculty and programs. Responsible for managing the overall functioning of the research operation. Serves as a front-line resource for researchers in the Department, acting as liaison to internal administrative units and external sponsors on matters relating to research programs. Works closely with Principal Investigators and Research Faculty within the Division to ensure efficient communication and follow-through, and coordination of short- and long-range planning. This position advises all staff and faculty on policy changes. Does this position require Patient Care? No Essential Functions -Provides input on a strategy based on knowledge of industry and trends. -Develops budgets for research proposals. -Develop and implement project plans for research build management projects. -Provide leadership and guidance to staff, including training, supervision, and performance management. -Supervises the operations of the lab. -Trains newly hired technical staff to work on this project. -Responsible for oversight of all lab supplies and equipment, purchasing, and maintenance. -Prepares reports and presents progress at research staff meetings.
