Description

JOB SUMMARY: Provide engineering support for our current and future manufacturing processes which include electrical engineering, design and development of equipment and facilities improvements. Support continuous improvement efforts as it relates to equipment reliability, equipment standards, process development, and procedures.

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:



  • Support a safe and healthy work environment for all associates.
  • Analyze manufacturing data and recommend measures to improve equipment safety, product quality, production efficiency, equipment performance and scrap rate for their assets. May manage nonconformance through investigation and CAPAs.
  • Provide expertise with respect to building and grounds, manufacturing equipment and processes to support manufacturing initiatives that meet customer and business requirements.
  • Assist with associates' development of technical knowledge and skills
  • Assist with the development of new/existing process systems such as machine centerlines, live control, good run settings, maintenance procedures, and training materials.
  • Coordinate the electrical fabrication, operation, installation, and/or repair of equipment and processes.
  • Provide technical expertise with regards to mechanical design of components, equipment, and processes through the utilization of engineering principles: commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Provide daily manufacturing support by assisting operating teams and technical resources to analyze and resolve process issues related to equipment, product quality, and productivity.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities as required with respect to safety, quality, productivity, sustainability, and cost initiatives.

  • Provide support to purchasing by providing equipment specifications and/or requirements, resolve equipment or part issues, and realize cost savings opportunities with equipment vendors or parts suppliers.
  • Communicate effectively across all levels.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the essential accountabilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.)



  • Internal - Associate's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing) and 5+ years of manufacturing or manufacturing support experience OR Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing) and 2 years of manufacturing or manufacturing support experience.
  • External - Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing) and 5 years of manufacturing or manufacturing support experience.
  • Strong verbal, written and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated Leadership skills.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.

  • Must be able to communicate face-to-face and over the phone.
  • Occasional lifting up to 35 lbs.
  • Frequent sitting and standing, as well as occasional bending, twisting, kneeling, climbing, pushing/pulling, and reaching above shoulder level.
  • Work environment includes occasional noise >85db and hot and cold temperatures.
  • Requires ability to read, write, calculate, and reason.

Compensation:



  • $93,000 - 115,000
