The Broward County Aviation Department, which operates the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) and North Perry Airport (HWO), is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Program/Project Coordinator to support all the Business teams (Food & Beverage, Retail, Rental Car) in the Business & Properties Management Concessions Division. This position performs a variety of maintenance and program review along with the management of ongoing projects involving all concessions, including rental car center.

General Description

Manages and coordinates, with considerable independence, all activities of a particular program/project within a section or agency.

Works under general supervision, independently developing work methods and sequences.


Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in business, public administration or closely related field.

(One year of relevant experience may be substituted for each year of required education.)

Requires two (2) years experience in a staff or administrative capacity managing special projects, programs or business operations appropriate to the area of assignment or closely related experience.

Special Certifications and Licenses

Possess and maintain a valid Florida Class E Driver's License based on area of assignment.

Additional Information

All candidates must complete an extensive ten (10) year work history verification and criminal background check, including fingerprinting and all other information as required by the Federal Aviation Administration. Ability to maintain authorization to drive a County vehicle. Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Identification Display Area(SIDA) Badge. The Aviation Department operates under a Drug-Free Workplace Policy in compliance with the provisions of the Federal Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1988.

All Aviation Department employees must possess the ability to interact courteously with the public, Airport vendors, contractors and fellow employees to maintain a professional work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that promotes a positive work environment.

Ability to obtain/maintain Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) access with Customs and Border Protection Seal.

Ability to obtain / maintain Airfield driving privileges.

Per the Code of Federal Regulations, Title 49, Part 1542, all airport employees must undergo a Criminal History Records Check (CHRC) and a Security Threat Assessment (STA) to obtain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge, as required by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).


SCOPE OF WORK

Duties and Responsibilities

The functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this class. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the job as necessary.

The Program/Project Coordinator in the Business & Properties Management Concessions Division within the Aviation Department is responsible for a number of projects (Request for Proposals (RFP), lease management software implementation, new agreement development, concession space planning) that will require focus on the projects. This position will be responsible for prioritizing the individual tasks that will need to be completed to finish all projects in a timely manner. The position will also provide backup for the Business Specialists and the rental car center.

The role will also be responsible for the following to include but is not limited to:

* Implementation of PropWorks - Lease Management
* Assists in workflow for division
* Development of vacant concessions spaces
* Identifies and provides feedback on needs of the concessions program
* Development of Centralized Distribution and Receiving Center (CRDC)
* Coordinates with tenants and identifies possible solutions to the operation of the Centralized Receiving and Distribution Center (CRDC) and product movement.
* Mid-term Refurbishments - Provide insight into mid-term refurbishment proposal. Coordinates projects and any interruptions to service.
* Enterprise Content Management implementation
* Ongoing - Concessions performance metrics - sales
* Evaluates monthly concessions data and identifies trends/opportunities - develops reporting and strategies for the division.
* Wireless License Agreements (3 companies)
* Assist in the drafting and execution of new wireless license agreements
* Provides backup to all concessions/rental car staff - Terminal visits, Tenant Improvement Project
* Implementation of digital visit log tracking and analysis (visit/maintenance)
* Implementation of PropWorks - Assists in workflow for the lease management system for the division.
* Concessions Operations Manual - Analyzes needs and requirements for developing a concessions operations manual. Provides insight into the effectiveness of operational procedures.
* Airport Survey - concessions products, secret shops - Assist in developing and implementing an airport wide program.
* Request for Proposals (RFP) - Terminal 5
* Analyze available concessions spaces, make recommendations on placement, type of concession desired, and develop RFP criteria for new terminal program.
* RFP - Concessions in existing terminals. Works on RFP development - Retail, Duty Free, Advertising, ATM/Foreign Currency Exchange (FX), Baggage storage
* Evaluating all the current programs and providing feedback on scope of work and agreement components.
* Rental Car Center Agreements/RFP
* Assists in new Agreements/RFP for the rental car center.
