Job Description

HEICO Repair Group Aerostructures, a recognized leader in the repair and overhaul of aircraft structural components, is currently looking for an Engineer to join our team.


The Engineer is responsible for the evaluation, design, and approval of repairs for aircraft components, including nacelles, thrust reversers, flight control surfaces, and radomes. This position plays a key role in developing FAA-approved 8110 repairs. The Engineer will generate data and perform analysis, collaborating with other engineers, the Quality Control department, and production teams to ensure compliance and airworthiness.


Key Responsibilities include:



  • Evaluate damaged aircraft components and determine repair feasibility
  • Develop repair solutions, including drawings, instructions, and reports
  • Perform analysis to substantiate repairs
  • Generate and compile data for FAA approval
  • Interpret OEM manuals, engineering drawings, and certification requirements
  • Lead root cause analysis and failure investigations
  • Ensure all repairs comply with company procedures and FAA regulations
  • Support improvement and develop new repair procedures

Requirements

Skills / Education and Experience



  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • Must be able to read, speak, and write in English
  • Knowledge on FAA regulations and processes preferred
  • Experience working with OEM manuals preferred
  • Experience with CAD software
  • Understanding of materials, stress analysis, and repair design principles
  • Knowledge of composite repair methods preferred
  • Must have strong problem solving and communication skills
  • Must be able to manage different projects at a time and meet deadlines


Physical Demands



  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
  • Must be able to lift up to 30lbs
  • Capability to work in a shop environment with moderate noise levels and exposure to mechanical equipment
