About The Position

The Supervisor, Project Controls leads a team of Ameren coworkers and contractors responsible for supporting the successful execution of Ameren Transmission's project portfolio by providing services and support to project teams including scheduling, tracking and reporting project activities, costs and performance to schedule and budget. The Supervisor oversees the duties of the project controls team and delivers routine standardized, independent, objective reporting of project status, variances, and forecasted schedule, cash flow, and cost at completion.

Key responsibilities include:

* Leads a team of project controls professionals responsible for creating and maintaining project activity schedules, forecasting monthly project cash flows and resource requirements, and tracking actual completion and cost of activities.

* Oversees analysis of project data and the identification and reporting of schedule and financial variances; delivers accurate, timely, objective reporting and project information to project management teams and leadership to enable successful project execution and portfolio management decisions.

* Ensures team collaborates effectively with internal and external project resources to support execution of project deliverables, plans for availability and delivery of construction resources, equipment and materials, reports project actuals and manages Project Change Requests (PCRs).

* Manages team member assignments in close coordination with other project controls and project management leaders and ensures project controls resources are adequate to support execution of Ameren Transmission's capital project portfolio.

* Uses corporate financial tools and processes to work with project engineers, project managers and contractors to develop financial information to control costs on a wide variety of transmission projects.

* Develops and operates to an annual budget and staffing plan for the project controls team.

* Coaches, mentors, and actively develops direct reports through Individual Development Plans (IDPs), assesses and rewards individual performance, and takes accountability for team's overall performance.

* Monitors and enforce standards, policies and procedures established by Transmission, Ameren Corporation and regulatory entities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or Construction Management from an ABET accredited University. Five or more years of relevant experience in project scheduling, forecasting, budgeting, or project management is required. Ten or more years of relevant construction, construction project execution, project scheduling, project management or project cost controls may be considered in lieu of the above degree requirement. MBA preferred. Supervisory experience preferred.

In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:

Proficiency with project scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project and project controls software applications such as Oracle Primavera Portfolio Manager (OPPM) or Unifier. Experience with project financial accounting applications such as UIP, Primavera, and PowerPlant preferred. Knowledge of transmission system, and corresponding maintenance, operations and construction practices preferred

Compensation Range:

$111,100.00 - $172,200.00

At Ameren, base salary is one component of a competitive compensation package for employees. Our pay ranges are broad to allow for movement within our organization and to accommodate different skill sets and levels of expertise. We take into consideration a variety of factors including, but not limited to, skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, and internal equity when determining the base salary offered. Roles are eligible for additional rewards including annual incentive payments based on individual and company performance.
