The Digital Content Specialist supports Northside Hospital's digital marketing strategy by creating engaging digital content programs - including video, social media and multimedia storytelling - that advance the strategic marketing and communications goals of Northside Hospital, Northside Physician Practices and other entities within the Northside network.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Develop, create and produce compelling stories, visuals and videos for social media, websites and other digital platforms.
  2. Support the creation and execution of content strategies for Northside's social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, TikTok and YouTube and others that might be adopted.
  3. Adapt written, visual and video content for use across multiple channels and audiences.
  4. Convert traditional content (press releases, brochures, long-form stories) into engaging, shareable digital formats such as short videos, reels, posts or podcasts.
  5. Collaborate with creative, communications and technical teams to ensure content aligns with brand standards and marketing objectives.
  6. Track and report performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations to improve engagement and reach.
  7. Maintain consistency of voice, tone and visual identity across all digital channels.
  8. Stay informed on emerging digital trends, social media best practices and video production techniques to enhance content quality and performance.
  9. Support additional activities as directed by the Content Manager.
  • Bachelor's degree from an academic institution or equivalent experience in digital content creation, social media strategy or video production.
  • Three (3) years of experience in digital content creation, social media strategy, or video production.
  • Excellent writing, editing and visual storytelling skills with attention to brand voice and detail.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, content strategy and audience engagement.
  • Proven experience producing and editing short-form video content (reels, TikToks, interviews, testimonials).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Creative, adaptable and proactive with a focus on continuous improvement.

PREFERRED:

  • Familiarity with health care marketing and HIPAA-compliant communications preferred.
  • Proficiency with creative and production tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Canva, Photoshop, After Effects or similar).
  • Familiarity with social media analytics and content management tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Meta Business Suite).
  • Proficiencies in digital content strategy, SEO-driven content creation and content metrics are central to this role.
  • Experience working and/or supporting a brand that successfully established a truly differentiated experience in its respective industry.
  • A practiced problem-solver always bringing solutions to the table, especially when consulting management and the leadership team.
  • Focused, flexible and curious.
