Summary



The Logistics/3TL Driver Supervisor is the point of contact for all day-to-day functions within the 3TL Driver Team and will work closely with our existing Purchasing/Operation Teams. This position will be critical to the daily success of the 3TL service offering which supports:


1. Line haul of our inbound inventory from our local suppliers


2. Contracted lanes of inbound inventory for some of our largest mission-critical suppliers


3. Transfers and auto-trans loads from our facilities



Primary Responsibilities


* Supervise a team of Line Haul Drivers to ensure all line haul procedures are executed to Company standards


* Participate with the 3TL Corporate team members in weekly meetings with internal stakeholders and suppliers


* Develop daily driver schedules to optimize efficiency and drive home revenue targets


* Manage all personnel issues working closely with our operation leaders including training, evaluating, disciplining, and following up on driving team concerns


* Recruit, train, supervise and evaluate department staff


* Ensure that all safety and compliance policies and procedures are followed


* Respond to all customer related issues in a timely manner to ensure positive relationships with customers


* Continually look at our demand model and develop efficient lanes in the spirit of continuous improvement


* Develop and maintain positive, cooperative, and team-oriented relationships with co-workers, supervisors, managers, suppliers, and our customer base


* Maintain Columbia's fleet management tool, Maintenance Connection, for all relevant equipment


* Adhere to all state liquor laws and regulations


* Complete all other tasks or projects as assigned


* Always demonstrate behaviors consistent with those of the Company's Core Values

People Management


This position will manage a diverse group of Line Haul Drivers.


Work Environment


This position works indoors and outdoors with occasional need for delivery driving.



Expected Hours of Work


This is a full-time position



Travel


Ability to travel approximately 5% of the time


Required Education and Experience


* High school diploma or GED required


* Maintain a valid driver license with acceptable driving record



Preferred Education and Experience


* Minimum three (3) years previous driving experience


* Supervisory experience a plus


* Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) preferred


* Lean, 6 Sigma or other Continuous Improvement methodologies a plus



Reports to: Indirect Procurement Director


Classification: Exempt
