The School of Environmental and Biological Sciences, located on the George H. Cook Campus, is one of the largest schools of Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. We pursue excellence in research, teaching, and outreach in areas of study that address the biological spectrum from molecules to ecosystems. Our emphasis is on both the fundamental sciences and the social and human dimensions. We offer 21 undergraduate majors, including plant and animal sciences, microbiology, biotechnology, agriculture and food systems, landscape architecture, food and nutritional sciences, ecology and evolution, marine science and oceanography, environmental sciences and meteorology, human ecology, entomology, and environmental economics.
In addition to instruction in the classroom, field, and laboratory, our students have opportunities for experiential learning on and off campus, including a growing emphasis on international experiences through short- and long-term study abroad. Students also have access to a robust program of applied research and outreach hosted by the New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station laboratories, farms, business incubators, and marine stations throughout the state. |

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Unit Admin/Specialist - Casual - Camden County for the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences. Reporting to the Camden County 4-H Agent, the Unit Admin/Specialist will be responsible for facilitating a grant-funded program called
Preparing the Next Generation of Urban Food and Agriculture Changemakers for youth in Camden. This program focuses on teaching youth research-based, experiential educational activities and lessons that will help youth develop life skills in urban agriculture and food systems.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Supports program staff in the delivery of educational outreach, growth and development of community garden projects, and maintain partnerships with organizations in the Camden, NJ community.
- Assists with the recruitment and retention of program members, coordinate meetings, and plan professional development and field trips for teens.
- Coordinates curriculum, training, and program support for the Camden site and will serve as the liaison for program evaluation efforts with the county.

Qualifications
| Minimum Education and Experience |
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

- Ability to work with youth and other agency personnel to reach specified project outcomes and goals.
- Ability to accurately and neatly complete marketing, newsletters, evaluations, reports, and assigned paperwork in a timely fashion.

- Ability to coordinate meetings, field trips, curriculum reviews, and program plans for this grant program.
