Mechanical Engineer - Welding, NDE & Structural Design
Location: McLeansville, NC | Compensation: $64.77/Hr.

What You'll Do:
  • Design and verify welded assemblies in compliance with applicable codes and standards
  • Develop and maintain engineering drawings, weld symbols, and technical documentation
  • Apply Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) methods to support inspection and quality requirements
  • Create and manage 3D CAD models and detailed drawing packages
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support supplier oversight and on-site verification activities
Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related STEM field
  • 2+ years of mechanical engineering experience OR 0.5+ years with a Master's degree
  • 2+ years of experience working with engineering drawings, welding standards, or NDE techniques
  • Top Secret Clearance
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Experience with welding codes such as ASME Section IX or AWS standards
  • Background in defense, aerospace, or government-regulated industries
  • Certifications such as AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or NDE Level II+
  • Familiarity with Creo (PTC) or similar CAD tools
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% for supplier and project support
