This position will average 10 hours per week, but will vary depending on the specific training schedule. Trainings are offered in 1-hour webinars, 1-day in-person trainings, and 2-day (Friday/Saturday) in-person trainings. Some pay periods, work may be condensed into a few days. Candidates should expect some evening and weekend work with the role, as well as occasional overnight travel in greater Minnesota. Schedules are set several months in advance.

Job Summary:

Provide a range of adoption education to prospective adoptive/foster parents, through in-person and online webinar training.

Qualifications and Requirements:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or a related field. Master's Degree preferred;


  • Experience with adoption or social service related content for diverse mediums and for diverse audiences;


  • Experience facilitating training and group sessions strongly preferred;


  • Knowledge of webinars and online training design strongly preferred;


  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite;


  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team;


  • Ability to work evenings/weekends


  • Ability to forge a mutually respectful partnership with persons served and their families;


  • Ability to communicate well using verbal and written methods;


  • Ability to work with and advocate for all clients served, regardless of race, religion, disability, sexual orientation or family type;


  • Valid drivers' license preferred (insurance, a reliable vehicle and be insurable under agency policy).
