What We're Looking For:

A highly skilled and experienced Locksmith to join our hotel's engineering and security team. This role is responsible for the repair, maintenance, and programming of all door hardware and electronic locking systems throughout the property. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in locksmithing, including key cutting and lock manipulation, as well as expertise in electronic door lock software systems.

What You'll Do:

  • Perform repair and maintenance of all doors, locks, and associated hardware across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities.

  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot electronic door lock systems and software.

  • Cut keys, re-key locks according to bitting lists, and open locks using approved lock-defeating tools and methods.

  • Maintain accurate records of key issuance, lock changes, and system configurations.

  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal safety codes, as well as hotel security protocols.

  • Respond promptly to service requests and security-related lock issues.

  • Collaborate with IT and security teams to maintain system integrity and access control.

  • Assist in emergency lockouts and provide technical support for electronic access systems.

  • Maintain inventory of locksmith tools, parts, and supplies.

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.

  • Collaborate with external vendors for specialized repairs or installations.

  • Maintain regular attendance in conformance with company standards; attend required meetings and training sessions.

  • Work varying schedules as required to meet business needs.

  • Demonstrate a proactive approach toward work activities.

  • Manage multiple projects to timely and successful completion.

Your Qualifications Include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in locksmithing preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in locksmithing, including electronic lock systems.

  • Proficiency in electronic door lock software.

  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electronic locking mechanisms.

  • Ability to read and interpret bitting lists, schematics, and technical manuals.

  • Familiarity with local, state, and federal safety and security regulations.

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently and handle confidential information with discretion.

  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.

  • Role requires regularly lifting items up to 50 lbs. and working in confined spaces or elevated areas.

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
