Dematic Corp. has a need for a Start-up Services Manager for Resident Maintenance. This role will be responsible for start-up sites within Resident Maintenance and will manage and oversee several teams of maintenance technicians. Travel for this role will be around 40-70% of the time and may be located anywhere within the US. We offer:

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $75,000 - $165,000 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skill

Tasks and Qualifications:

What you will do in this role:

  • Acts as regional Dematic contact to the customer.
  • Lead, coordinate, and direct all functions and reporting personnel.
  • Deliver the business objectives.
  • Build capabilities of the overall maintenance team.
  • Reinforce the values of the organization.
  • Set an example and mentor all team members.
  • Perform at professional level to interpret/process more complex, less-clearly defined issues.
  • Evaluate and implement changes in methods or procedures.
  • Identify resource needs and develop justification.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex problems.

What we are looking for:

  • Associates degree, technical degree, or 8-10 years of equivalent experience in Material Handling Systems.
  • Demonstrate understanding and application of supervisory approaches for work direction, motivation, performance management, and disciplinary action.
  • Electrical troubleshooting skills to include wiring, ac power, ac motors, electrical drawings/schematics, and control panels
  • Servo drives, Programable Logistic Controllers (PLC), PC controllers, dc power supplies, optical devices (i.e., encoders, photo eyes, etc.)
  • Knowledge of automated equipment; preferably automated material handling systems
  • Mechanical troubleshooting experience
  • Lean principles (4-Step Problem Solve, Kaizen, 5S, etc.)
  • Must be able to evaluate and analyze: system/equipment performance data, perform root cause analysis, manage resolution of design-performance issues
  • Must be able to gauge, identify, and implement training based on skill assessment results.
  • Must be able to manage KPIs and fault data, create reports and communicate tracking and reporting performance issues.
