About the opportunity

SWCA seeks a Business Application Analyst for our growing, national consulting business. The Business Application Analyst plays a key role in supporting and enhancing the company's enterprise applications, with a strong emphasis on Deltek Vision and Deltek Vantagepoint. This role suits someone who is naturally curious, highly collaborative, and comfortable navigating an evolving technology environment. The Analyst will partner closely with business units, the Technology Department, and system users to ensure applications are stable, wellsupported, and continually improved.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint and a solid understanding of how to troubleshoot, configure, and optimize the platform to meet business needs. This role also involves managing incoming requests, coordinating with technical teams, and delivering training and communication that drive effective adoption of ERP solutions.

What you will accomplish

  • Collaborate with business units and internal teams to understand requirements, gather details on issues, and support new requests or projects.
  • Partner with team members to plan and manage initiatives within the Technology and Data Solutions function.
  • Provide advanced application support and guidance for:
    • Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint
    • SQL Server database, write complex queries, maintenance
    • Integrations and related thirdparty tools
  • Serve as a technical resource for both the Support Team and business stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain documentation, including process guides, howto materials, and internal knowledge articles.
  • Assist with reviewing application security, refining role/permission structures, and supporting configuration deployments.
  • Coordinate communications related to ERP system updates, outages, enhancements, and training.
  • Have the ability to work effectively both independently and across multiple teams and departments.

Experience and qualifications for success

Candidates will demonstrate an appropriate combination of the following skills and experience:

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in marketing, business management, data analytic, business analytics or related degree. Masters degree highly preferred.
  • At least five (5) years of relevant industry experience
  • Hands-on experience working with Deltek Vision or Vantagepoint in an administrative, analytical, or support capacity.
  • Strong SQL Server capabilities, including writing complex queries, performing data analysis, and supporting data integrity.
  • Familiarity with related technical environments such as:
    • API integrations
    • Workflow automation tools
    • SSRS or other reporting platforms
    • ETL processes and data migration concepts
    • Power BI or similar analytics tools

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Advanced problemsolving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple requests.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for crossteam coordination.
  • Strong customer service mindset and a collaborative working style.
  • A drive to continually learn new technologies and improve system processes.

An employee in this Phoenix, AZ-based position can expect an annual salary of: $79,747/year to $104,457/year. Actual pay within this range may depend on experience, qualifications, geographic location, client requirements where applicable, and other factors permitted by law. Regular-status employees are also eligible for performance bonuses.
