The Advanced Technology and Integrated Circuits Team works to create and maintain new platforms and components that support our communications systems on which we continuously work to improve the user experience for our world-wide device portfolio. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Advanced Technology and Integrated Circuits to lead a talented team responsible for technology identification and maturation for integration into our radio devices and related products and services. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your technical expertise and leadership skills to build the future of our devices and services that are meaningful to our customers. You will manage engineers across multiple teams and global locations, obsess over quality and customers needs, and oversee global product integration and deployments of new technology. You will be joining an organization with a strong commitment to innovation and a collaborative culture.

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing engineering organization, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement and deployment of leading edge AI engineering tools and AI feature development for our customers.

  • Develop, drive and communicate the technical strategy and roadmap for the team, ensuring alignment with business objectives and goals.

  • Oversee the development and delivery of high-quality hardware and software solutions, meeting scalability, performance, and security requirements.

  • Partner cross-functionally with product management, security, and compliance teams to deliver impactful and compliant technology solutions into our products.

  • Champion engineering best practices and promote a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of radio hardware and software engineering development and integration experience, including extensive hands-on technical management.

  • 8+ years of experience in an Engineering leadership role developing Astro P25 radio products or similar LMR radio development experience

  • Experience successfully evolving organizations with a focus on empowering leadership, enabling others to make decisions.

  • Passionate about creating positive and engaging, high-trust employee environments.

  • Experience in building and managing diverse, high-performing, geographically-distributed engineering teams with sensitivity to different cultures.

  • A proven track record of shipping complex, large-scale products on time and within budget from conception thru complete life-cycle deployment and CoS replacement.

  • Deep understanding of radio and communication systems architectures and platforms.

  • Experience with RF circuits and sub-systems as well as integrated circuit development and life-cycle maintenance.

  • Knowledge of digital SoC development and integration within sensitive RF subsystems.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

Target Base Salary Range: $150,800 - $190,600 USD

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
