POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Tax Accountant will assist in gathering information and preparing workpapers related to the Company's ASC 740 income tax provision and the preparation of federal, state, and local income tax returns. This role will also provide support on indirect tax matters and various special projects as assigned.


Responsibilities

  • Maintains an up-to-date listing of federal and state income tax filings and payments made.
  • Assists in the tax provision process by gathering information, preparing various workpapers and schedules as required for year end and quarterly close using OneSource Tax Provision software.
  • Preparation of fixed asset reconciliations and tax depreciation calculations.
  • Assists in Federal and State tax compliance process by gathering information, preparing tax work papers and utilizing OneSource Tax Compliance software.
  • Assists in federal and state estimated tax calculations.
  • Provide support to the Corporate Accounting Department on sales tax filings.
  • Assists in acquisition and divestiture projects, tax research and other projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business or related field of study.
  • 3+ years of work experience in the tax field.
  • Licensed CPA (may be inactive) or CPA candidate.
  • Public accounting experience, preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Must be familiar with commonly used tax concepts and practices with respect to corporations and partnerships.
  • Should be familiar with Excel and Sage Fixed Asset Software. Familiarity with ONESOURCE Tax Compliance and Tax Provision Software is preferred.
