Responsibilities

  • This position involves the coordination of clinical management of the vascular patient across the entire continuum of care.
  • Manages and coordinates the vascular clinic and assures thorough patient evaluation and education for vascular procedures.
  • Serves as a liaison for the vascular program and drives performance and improvement initiatives.
  • Acts as a clinical resource and a role model for all areas caring for vascular patients.
  • Acts as a community liaison on behalf of the vascular program and the hospital to promote awareness and education on vascular procedures.
  • Collaborates in the development and delivery of care for the University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus Market

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Current RN license,

  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

  • 3-5 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in Cardiology, Critical Care, Cardiac Surgery or Emergency Department.

  • Proven ability to follow protocol specific care delivery

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Public speaking experience

  • Interdisciplinary teamwork experience
