Manufacturing Technician

Job Purpose:

Performs functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies and final assemblies. Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments or equipment. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. Works with engineers in conducting experiments.

Nature of Duties/Responsibilities:

-Manufacturing Tech. responsible for the production and process improvement for Conformal coating, Epoxy dispensing, SMT Printers, Re-flow, Wave, Selective Soldering and BGA rework applications in a low volume and high mix production setting.

-They will be responsible for the implementation of new products processes by interacting with Manufacturing Engineering, Process engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Production to increase product yields and initiatives. Any additional skills and experience in Conformal Coating and Underfill processes are a plus.

- Create and validate Conformal Coating/Underfill programs during a prototype (Nordson Asymtec).

- Develop and verify the process for Conformal Coating/Underfill before release to production.

- Create and validate the Profile, Printer programs, SPI, Selective Wave, and Router during a prototype.

- Support continuous process improvement project (Process Engineering team).

- Evaluate, troubleshoot, and solving problem in programs, profiles, product equipment, fixtures and tools.

- BGA reworks process development.

- Work with Process engineer team in conducting experiments.

Education and Experience:

- 4-6 years of work related experience.

- 1 to 3 years experience in an electronics manufacturing environment

-Experience with (Nordson Asymtec, Fuji, DeK, MPM, BTU, Vitronics equipment

-Understanding of Quick Turn/ New Product Introduction

-Knowledgeable in IPC, ISO Standards

-Experience on Lead Free Profiling

-Ability to read and write with a degree of proficiency

-2 yrs associate degree in related field.

Salary Range(annual): $62,400 - $68,640 ($30 - 33 / hourly)

Actual base pay within this range (determined at the offer stage) will be based on a candidate's years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills, and is just one element of our total rewards package.
