We have an exciting opening for a CNC Setup Operator in Elyria, OH. This position is responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines. Your main responsibilities: Perform operations required to set up, maintain and operate computer numerical controlled machine tools, including turning and milling centers (vertical and horizontal). Must run simple to complicated runs to exacting tolerances and specifications. These tasks require blueprint reading, the use of micrometers, gauges and applicable tooling. Requires a broad machine tool knowledge necessary to support special tools and machine orders. Sometimes run multiple task or machines simultaneously. Must often edit or change programs to enhance the quality of the product. Orders raw materials from stock and appropriate tooling per project. Will instruct less qualified operators in set up and operation. Precision and close tolerances is a must. Has minimum supervision and direction, must be able to instruct or assist where necessary.
