Position Summary:

The Registered Echo-Vascular Sonographer performs a comprehensive range of cardiac and vascular ultrasound examinations in clinical settings across multiple locations in accordance with departmental policies and IAC accreditation standards. Examinations may include Cerebrovascular, Visceral, Lower Extremity, and Physiologic studies, as well as special procedures including but not limited to Lower Extremity Reflux exams and other emerging clinical needs. The Registered Echo-Vascular Sonographer reports to the Chief Cardiac Sonographer and works closely with Staff Sonographers, Level II and III, Medical Staff, and Investigators to ensure all examinations are completed according to established policies and procedures. The position functions at an advanced clinical level in both echocardiography and vascular imaging and includes participation in quality improvement initiatives, accreditation support activities, clinical training of new staff, cross-training of current Echo Lab Sonographers, and workflow coordination as assigned.

Education:
B.S. in Diagnostic Ultrasound preferred or a graduation from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Program (CAAHEP) - accredited Diagnostic ultrasound program, along with 3-5 years of experience as a registered echo-vascular sonographer. Additional clinical experience or credentials may be considered in lieu of some education.

Required Licensure Certification, etc.
Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by The American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) by Cardiac Credentialing International (CCI) IS required. Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) by The American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS) by Cardiac Credentialing International (CCI) is required.

Work Experience:
Requires 3-5 years of clinical scanning experience as a Registered Cardiac and Vascular Sonographer in a hospital or clinic-based environment. Successful completion of a CAAHEP accredited Diagnostic program required. Additional education or credentials may be considered in lieu of some clinical experience. Prefer at least one year of experience in an Echo/Vascular role.

Salary Range: Minimum 48.40/hour - Maximum 79.92/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
