The primary purpose of this position is to answer inbound calls, perform clerical duties as assigned, and provide daily operations support for the transportation department.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Answer inbound calls to the transportation center and provide the appropriate information to the caller; route calls to the appropriate department
* Greet visitors and direct them appropriately; sign for deliveries; sort and deliver mail; control entry into the facility
* Maintain reports and files for transportation team; coding of invoices, checks, and other documents
* Assist stores, distribution center, and office associates with transportation inquiries
* Enter all forced distributions into the OMI (Order Management Info) system; verify that all required communication (faxes, invoices, etc.) are completed
* Input of the cross-dock tally sheets then deliver sheets to supervisor on duty
* Independent action in questioning information on driver documents, requesting needed information from store and/or drivers
* Ensure drivers have all documents and supplies necessary to perform their duties; check to be sure that all paperwork was pulled from envelopes; sort paperwork; copy all that is showing product damage and send copy to operations manager
* Perform any other job duties as assigned by the transportation management team

QUALIFICATIONS

* Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
* Must be able to communicate and understand company policies and safety regulations to complete job duties in a satisfactory manner
* Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as the physical base scores for this position, with or without reasonable accommodation
* Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job
* Be proficient inputting data into various computer programs/system with minimal errors
* Data entry and report writing skills are required
* Ability to communicate in a professional manner
* Must meet the company performance standards for the job including but not limited to regular attendance.
* Experience (minimum needed): 1-1 years administrative skills
* Customer-oriented attitude
* Interpersonal skills
* Self-starter with demonstrated ability to show initiative
* Organizational skills with an eye for detail
* Ability to comprehend and perform basic math

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position is performed in an office environment with prolonged periods of being seated typing on a keyboard and viewing a computer screen; finger dexterity for keyboard use.

Shift Hours: Minimum 8-hour shifts or more depending upon business needs

* Lift/carry: 25 lbs.
* Stand 15%, Sit 70%, Walk 15%
* Category IV: Lifting, carrying, P/P up to 25 lbs.
* Max pull static: 20 lbs.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

* Team members are responsible for understanding company policy and procedures as promulgated in the policy and procedure manual and the team member handbook
* Experience with computer skills, Electronic Logging Devices, and the ability to interpret driving instructions
* Ability to assist drivers with directions and provide stores with estimated arrival times
