Metal Lab Technician - Hiring Now!Do you enjoy a fast-paced work environment where technology and equipment are continuously evolving? If so, Carley Foundry is looking for a Metal Lab Technician to join our team. We offer top pay, outstanding benefits, and the opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility.Pay: $23.00-$26.00 per hour, based on experienceHours: We have two shifts, training conducted on 1st shift: 1st Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM, plus a $1.00/hour shift differential Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Certificate or vocational education preferred Proficient computer skills Experience in quality control preferred Ability to work in a foundry manufacturing environment Responsibilities Verify aluminum and steel properties using a spectrometer, tensile tester, and conductivity tester Operate a lathe to prepare smooth test surfaces Perform routine maintenance and calibration of testing equipment Accurately record test results and maintain reports, logs, and sample storage Process castings approved for rework Perform testing on dry and green sand samples Prepare and process metallurgical samples for review by a degreed metallurgist or equivalent Collaborate with production and other departments to ensure timely movement of products through the lab Maintain the highest quality standards to ensure only premium products are delivered to our customers Interview With Us Come see the difference for yourself!
