Medical AR follow up Associate Location: Baltimore MD Shift: M-F 8am -5pm Position summary The Accounts Receivable FollowUp Associate is responsible for performing research, corrections, and updates within accounts receivable systems to ensure accurate billing and collection of reimbursement for resident services. This role supports full revenue cycle processes across skilled nursing facilities and ancillary business lines and requires strong analytical skills, followup, and professionalism-especially when working with residents, families, and thirdparty payers. Following a successful training period of approximately 90 days, this role is eligible for a hybrid work schedule (4 days onsite / 1 day remote). Key Responsibilities * Perform accurate prebilling review, billing, followup, and cash posting for assigned accounts * Conduct Admissions and Census reviews and complete Triple Check Claim Validation * Bill for all business lines, including thirdparty and private pay accounts * Perform thirdparty payer and private pay followup on outstanding balances * Translate internal charge files into appropriate formats for electronic and manual claims submission * Post cash, denials, contractual allowances, writeoffs, and payments using EOBs or Remittance Advices * Post rejection and denial transaction codes accurately and initiate appeals, corrected claims, and medical records submissions as required * Research and resolve misapplied cash, credit balances, and refunds * Complete resident final billing and support monthend close activities * Maintain thorough and accurate account documentation with clear notes, actions taken, and next steps * Serve as a liaison for accounts receivable inquiries, providing professional and empathetic customer service, including support for the A/R Help Desk * Coordinate with internal departments and external payers to resolve billing and reimbursement issues efficiently Experience Level Entry Level Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of catonsville, MD.
