A Brief Overview

The Physician Sourcing Consultant is responsible for proactively identifying and engaging top-tier pediatric providers to meet the enterprise's current and future staffing needs. The consultant provides critical information and data for hiring teams to make decisions; facilitates positive connections between recruiters and candidates; and maintains a continuous flow of diverse, qualified talent.

This hybrid role requires strategic thinking, skilled communication, and a deep understanding of the labor market. The ideal candidate is passionate about building relationships, with a proven track record of filling high-level positions.

What you will do

  • Collaborate and lead conversations with CHOP leaders to understand physician hiring needs and develop tailored, proactive sourcing strategies.
  • Leverage efficient, cost-effective sourcing methods and tools-including, but not limited to, social media, career events, professional networking and employee resource groups, alumni networks, industry associations, and internal mobility resources-to build robust talent pools.
  • Conduct market research and stay informed about industry trends, labor market conditions, and competitor practices to ensure effective sourcing strategies. Advise teams on findings and provide recommendations.
  • Foster strong external relationships with potential candidates, academic institutions, and professional associations. Collaborate with internal teams within talent acquisition, human resources, and physician practices at CHOP.
  • Screen and assess candidates for qualifications, interest, and cultural add, referring them to recruiters as appropriate.
  • Suggest innovative sourcing strategies and processes to enhance talent acquisition at CHOP.
  • Utilize Workday (ATS) and Phenom People (CRM) to manage the sourcing process and nurture candidates. Report on sourcing metrics and use data to inform strategies.
  • Develop a deep understanding of physician recruitment areas to effectively identify and attract suitable candidates.
  • Provide action-oriented biweekly reports to stakeholders outlining diverse forms of outreach, market intel, candidate updates, and next steps.
  • Attend onsite meetings with CHOP leaders and support tours, information sessions, and events in conjunction with the physician recruitment team.

Education Qualifications

  • High School Diploma / GED Required

Experience Qualifications

  • At least five (5) years recruitment/sourcing Required
  • At least one (1) year physician recruitment/sourcing Preferred

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong understanding of physician roles, organizational structures, and market trends (Required proficiency)
  • Proven success in placing physicians and/or other top-tier healthcare providers (Required proficiency)
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills (Required proficiency)
  • Proficiency in using ATS and CRM platforms to manage candidate data, track recruitment pools, and automate tasks (Required proficiency)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment (Required proficiency)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach (Required proficiency)
  • Expertise in leveraging job boards, databases, and social media platforms like LinkedIn, X, Facebook, etc. to source (Required proficiency)
