VNS Health is seeking an experienced Manager, Provider Relations to lead a team of Account Managers supporting our Medicare and Select Health products. This role is responsible for developing strategic provider relationships, improving the provider experience, and partnering across the organization to drive quality, operational excellence, and network performance. What You Will Do
- Lead and develop a team of Provider Relations Account Managers.
- Manage relationships with IPAs, FQHCs, hospitals, large physician groups, and ancillary providers.
- Develop provider engagement strategies that improve provider satisfaction and reduce administrative burden.
- Analyze provider performance and identify opportunities for operational and quality improvement.
- Partner with Quality, Sales, Pharmacy, Credentialing, Operations, and Network Development teams.
- Oversee provider onboarding, education, Model of Care training, and provider issue resolution.
- Support network adequacy, provider performance, and regulatory compliance.
- Drive continuous process improvement initiatives by identifying operational gaps, streamlining workflows, and enhancing provider-facing processes.
- Ensure accurate documentation of provider interactions, issues, and resolutions within CRM and provider management systems.
- Represent Provider Relations in cross-functional committees, executive meetings, and strategic initiatives.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of Provider Relations experience within a health plan or managed care organization.
- Previous leadership experience managing Provider Relations teams.
- Strong knowledge of provider operations, claims, and Medicare/Managed Care.
- Experience working with IPAs, FQHCs, hospitals, and large provider groups.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and relationship-building skills.
- Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting provider performance metrics, dashboards, and operational reports.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a provider-centric approach.
- Existing provider relationships within the New York market are a plus.
- Local candidates preferred.
- Hybrid schedule with two days in the Manhattan , plus field visits throughout the five boroughs.

Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Health Administration, Business Administration or related discipline equivalent work experience required required
- Master's Degree preferred
Work Experience:
- Minimum five years in managed care or provider/hospital back-office required. preferred
- Experience working in healthcare administration and/or operations required. Experience working with healthcare or hospital and ancillary providers as customers or clients required. required
- Comprehensive understanding of provider network or hospital and ancillary contracting required. Minimum of two years managerial experience preferred preferred
- Experience in marketing and public relations in a health care or related environment preferred
Pay Range
USD $85,000.00 - USD $106,300.00 /Yr.
