Position Overview:

The Regulatory Reporting Analyst drives member usage and engagement with Quality Reporting and Healthy Planet tools across all OCHIN organizations. This position works directly with Account Managers, members, and customers to assist with effective usage, engagement with, and design of Healthy Planet and Quality Reporting tools and programs. This position also assists with training and being a conduit to solicit and provide input back to management on usage of these tools, while promoting a culture of improvement and learning via all interactions with OCHIN's members and customers.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage and drive engagement strategies to increase member usage of Healthy Planet tools and increase member involvement in Quality Reporting tools for Promoting Interoperability (MU, MIPS and UDS).
  • Provide one-on-one support for OCHIN members and customers requiring assistance in Population Health related areas. Engage Account Managers and MCT analysts in member outreach calls and communications as they relate to Population Health
  • Manage, create, and continuously update program communication documents for both internal and external customers. Facilitate member engagement forums and workgroups
  • Provide insight, improvement ideas, and critical thinking to Population Health and Analytics team
  • Research, identify, and implement best practices and improvement ideas in support of Population Health programs and goals
  • Perform outreach and build relationships with OCHIN members and customers in support of the Population Health deliverables. Actively seek opportunities for the program to bring increased value to OCHIN members, customers, partners, and staff
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Four (4) year degree in healthcare administration, business administration, public administration, program or project management, IT, health informatics, or a related field or other professional experience that meets the technical requirements of the position and/or
  • Minimum three (3) years' experience in similar or relevant role preferred.
  • Epic clinical analyst experience with Epic electronic health record platform as an end-user, trainer, or change control agent (Epic proficiency or certification in any Epic module, especially Healthy Planet a plus) preferred
  • Strong understanding of clinical workflows.
  • Understanding of registration/scheduling and revenue cycle workflows preferred.
  • Familiarity with regulatory programs UDS, MIPS, etc.
  • Support troubleshooting reporting questions, workflow issues, and data discrepancies
  • Project or Program Management experience highly desired
  • Translate regulatory reporting requirements into clear, actionable guidance for clinical, operational, and administrative end users
  • Maintain and continuously improve end user documentation, tip sheets, and training materials related to regulatory reporting processes
  • Collaborate with report writers and technical teams to communicate user needs, gaps, and optimization opportunities
  • Act as a subject matter resource for regulatory measures and how they intersect with Epic workflows
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to troubleshoot workflow and data issues (no direct report-building responsibilities)
  • Familiarity with improvement and evaluation methodologies and tools such as the Model for Improvement and/or Lean preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand run charts and control charts preferred.
  • Experience defining appropriate metrics necessary to determine if a change is an improvement and using data analytics to measure progress and project success preferred
  • Travel up to 12% may be required

  • Constant interpersonal skills, teamwork, and customer service. Frequent creativity, mentoring, presentations/teaching. Occasional decision making and independent judgment or action.
  • Reading, speaking, writing, and understanding English.
  • While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; stand and walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms.
  • This position requires a virtual home-office environment, working remotely and will require that employees be on camera for all virtual meetings.
  • The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and mobile devices.
  • Travel is required to support OCHIN's business requirements for Go-Live installations or training which may require travel by air, vehicle, or train.

Base Pay Overview

OCHIN uses broadened pay ranges to support equitable and market-aligned compensation practices. The final offer will be based on a variety of factors, including relevant skills, certifications, education, experience, training, responsibilities, internal equity, and market data.

Work Location and Travel Requirements

OCHIN is a 100% remote organization with no physical corporate office location. Employees work remotely from home and many of our positions also support our member organizations on-site for new software installations. Nationwide travel is determined based on OCHIN business needs. Please inquire during the interview process about travel requirements for this position.
