Identity and Access Management (IAM) Business Analyst
Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Identity and Access Management (IAM) Business Analyst to support enterprise IAM initiatives across authentication, authorization, identity governance, and privileged access management. This role bridges business, security, and technology teams to ensure IAM processes, controls, and platforms align with organizational security objectives and compliance requirements.

The ideal candidate has strong experience documenting IAM environments, gathering technical and business requirements, supporting audits, and enabling application onboarding to centralized IAM platforms.


Key Responsibilities
IAM Program & Security Support

  • Support enterprisewide IAM initiatives, including identity governance, authentication, authorization, and privileged access
  • Discover, assess, and document the IAM landscape, including tools, platforms, workflows, and identity posture
  • Assist in documenting and supporting security risk assessments, IT policy reviews, and audit activities
  • Maintain and support IAM security best practices, policies, and procedures


Requirements Analysis & Documentation

  • Review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user access needs
  • Identify gaps, missed requirements, and process inefficiencies
  • Develop clear and comprehensive:

    • Business requirements
    • Technical requirements
    • Process flows
    • Personas and use cases


  • Create and maintain documentation such as:

    • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
    • Work Instructions (WIs)
    • Knowledge base articles
    • User training materials




IAM Process Design & Implementation Support

  • Coordinate with business and technical partners on the design, build, and testing of IAM process enhancements
  • Support application onboarding to centralized IAM platforms
  • Help define and orchestrate adoption processes for identity and access technologies
  • Align requirements and traceability with implementation partners and delivery teams


Collaboration & Project Support

  • Attend project meetings and follow up on action items in alignment with project managers
  • Work closely with product owners, technical leads, developers, and security teams
  • Assist in communication development related to IAM initiatives and changes
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and execution teams


Reporting, Metrics & Insights

  • Provide analysis of key business drivers, security metrics, and IAM performance indicators
  • Utilize analytics and visualization tools to support reporting and decisionmaking
  • Support leadership with insights into IAM risks, adoption, and effectiveness


Required Qualifications
Core Experience

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst supporting Identity and Access Management (IAM) initiatives
  • Strong understanding of:

    • Authentication and authorization concepts
    • Privileged access management
    • Identity governance and lifecycle processes


  • Experience gathering and documenting technical and business requirements for security or IAM platforms


Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical, documentation, and processmapping skills
  • Experience supporting audits, compliance, and security policy documentation
  • Ability to translate business needs into clear technical requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable collaborating across Security, IT, and Business teams
