Video Editor, part-time

Part-Time Freelance Video Editor (Product)

Start Date: Early May 2026

Hours: 20 hours/week, could be more depending on production schedule

Must be available during standard business hours

Must have own equipment using Premier and After Effects

We're looking for a true, freelance Video Editor to support our client's ongoing product video editing needs which usually spans about 6-7 months. This is a long-term, part-time opportunity for a dedicated professional who can attend mandatory video/photo shoots and come onsite to office (usually a couple of times a month).

Responsibilities

• Edit product "walkaround" videos for client and customer platforms
• Edit using Adobe Premiere Pro
• Perform color correction and light motion graphics (After Effects)
• Attend shoots to take notes, ensure continuity, and assist on set as needed

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years, experience editing product videos (must have portfolio)
• Proficiency in Premiere Pro and After Effects
• Experience working with professional camera equipment vs. video shoots from smart phones
• Able to commit 20 hours a week during standard business hours.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently

• Location: Chicago land area (onsite a few times/month + attending shoot days)
• Equipment: Must use your own
• Video Production Schedule: Starts end of May and runs through end of year.
