Mechanical Claims Specialist *Overview* Are you an experienced automotive mechanic ready to transition off the shop floor and into a professional office or remote environment? We are seeking *Mechanical Claims Specialists* to join a growing customer contact team.
In this role, you will apply your hands-on automotive expertise to evaluate and process mechanical claims, working directly with dealerships and vehicle owners. If you're ready for a change of pace and a company that will invest in your future, we encourage you to apply. *Key Responsibilities* * Evaluate, investigate, and process mechanical claims in accordance with warranty guidelines * Analyze vehicle repair concerns to determine claim approval, denial, or required next steps * Communicate professionally via phone and email with dealerships, repair facilities, and vehicle owners * Clearly explain claim decisions to both technical and nontechnical audiences * Guide customers through the claims process, including obtaining repair estimates and required documentation * Maintain detailed and accurate electronic claim records using internal systems * Demonstrate empathy and professionalism while addressing customer questions and concerns * Collaborate with fellow claims analysts and leadership to ensure consistent, fair, and highquality service *Types of Calls Handled* * *Dealership Repair Requests:* * *Review proposed vehicle repairs and determine coverage based on warranty criteria* * *Claim Decision Inquiries:* * *Explain approvals or denials to vehicle owners in clear, customerfriendly terms* * *Process Guidance Calls:* * *Advise customers on next steps, required documentation, and repair authorization processes* *Required Qualifications* * Minimum *3 years of automotive mechanic or mechanical repair experience* * *Strong understanding of automotive systems and repair processes* * *Ability to explain technical repair information to nonmechanical individuals* * *Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills* * *Experience resolving complex issues while maintaining professionalism* * *Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Teams, Email)* * *Ability to navigate multiple software systems and screens simultaneously* * *Detailoriented, selfmotivated, and able to work independently in a fastpaced environment* * *High school diploma or GED required* *Preferred Qualifications* * ASE Certification * Experience using labor guides such as *AllData* or *Mitchell* * *Familiarity with automotive scan tools (preferred but not required)* * *Bilingual (Spanish/English) candidates preferred* *Additional Requirements* * Willingness to travel to *Deerfield Beach, FL* or *St. Louis, MO* for a *2week onboarding training* * *Availability to work occasional Saturdays* * *Reliable highspeed internet and a quiet home workspace for remote or hybrid schedules* *Why This Role?* * Transition from physical shop work to an office or remote position * Apply mechanical expertise without wearandtear on the body * Competitive compensation and benefits * Longterm career growth and skill development #centralpriority26 *Job Type & Location*This is a Contract position based out of Deerfield Beach, FL. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
