Job Summary

We're seeking a passionate and experienced UX Researcher to join our Product Design and Research team and drive human-centereddesign decisions. As a UX Researcher you'll be responsible for conducting generative and evaluative research to understand user behavior, preferences, and needs, translating findings into actionable insights to enhance our products' usability and overall user experience. We're a data-driven design shop, and we believe that a deep understanding of our users is the key to our success. Your work will be at the heart of all we do, and you'll be part of a team of talented UX/UI Designerseager for userinsights.

Responsibilities

  • Research Planning: Develop research plans, employing various methodologies such as semi-structured interviews, surveys, diary and ethnographic studies, usability tests, and analytics to achieve research goals and answer research questions
  • Research facilitation: Collect qualitative and quantitative data to uncover user pain points, needs, and behaviors, as well as feedback on product features and interfaces, ensuring a deep understanding of user needs
  • Data Analysis: Analyze data gathered from research activities, derive meaningful insights, and present findings to cross-functional teams to guide product decisions
  • Collaboration: Embed within 1-2 scrum teams and work closely with the UX Research Manager and product managers, designers, engineers, and other stakeholders to identify, and advocate for, high impact user research and ensure that research guides our prioritization and strategic roadmaps
  • User-centered advocacy: Develop user personas, journey maps, and other artifacts based on research findings, encouraging and enabling the team to empathize with users and design solutions that meet their needs
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in UX research, contributing innovative ideas to enhance the overall user experience
  • UX teamwork: Engage with the broader Research team, working on internal Research Ops projects, and collaborating to enable mutual growth and development through feedback and thought partnership

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Anthropology, or related fields. Or, equivalent depth and breadth of experience in the field
  • Experience (3 years or more) in UX research or a similar role within product development
  • Proficiency in conducting research using a variety of methodologies and tools such as surveys, interviews, usability testing, and analytics, including a thorough knowledge of when and how to apply them as the needs of a project dictate
  • Comfortable working collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Project management and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into clear and actionable insights
  • Experience engaging with stakeholders, managing expectations, and advocating for the incorporation of research findings into product and design decisions
  • Understanding of both responsive web and native mobile app design, including research principles and best practices
  • Experience with design thinking principles and demonstrated empathy as a driver of innovation
  • Eager to learn and open to feedback and mentorship
  • Track record of delivering research within an Agile framework
  • Familiarity with AI Tools and AI First mindset


Preferred:
Master's Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Anthropology or related fields
5 years or more in UX research or a similar role within product and software development
Some experience with UX/UI design tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, or Figma, especially with regards to prototyping for research purposes

Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is $100,246.00 - $164,689.00 / year. The rate/range provided herein is the anticipated pay at the time of hire and does not reflect future job opportunity.
